Our teachers are selected for their dedication, positive attitude and depth of understanding. Specialist staff support pupils with the ultimate goal of helping children become independent learners.
The school's Speech, Language & Communication therapist works closely with all members of the teaching staff, as well as directly with the children. Programmes of social language and communication are devised, monitored and implemented as part of the daily curriculum and in specific sessions, as well as through daily opportunities in and around school. The children learn strategies to help them communicate more effectively in everyday life.
Qualified Dyslexia support on a one-to-one and small group basis enhances whole-class intervention, which uses a multi-sensory, structured and cumulative approach to literacy and numeracy.
An Occupational Therapist works with school staff, overseeing the programmes devised for students, as well as delivering therapy to specific pupils.
